Grief and Loss

I specialize in helping clients adapt to, make sense of, and heal from loss of all kinds.

The death of a loved one can upend our lives and leave us feeling confused, overwhelmed, and flooded with strong emotions—all while we are expected to continue fulfilling our obligations at home, work, and school. If the death is unexpected and/or does not align with societal notions of ‘normal,’ we may feel isolated from others who struggle to understand our grief.

Beyond bereavement, we may experience other types of losses in our lives such as: the end of a significant relationship; changes in employment status, our health, or our physical abilities; or shifts in our cultural identity or spiritual beliefs. These experiences may bring up strong emotions that impact our ability to weather life’s challenges.

I provide a safe space to honor your losses and express the complex emotions these losses may evoke.

Together, we will identify ways to help you find meaning and restore hope as you navigate this next chapter in your life.

In addition to more generalized grief support, I have specialized training and experience working with:

Suicide loss

Overdose loss

Accidental, violent, or ambiguous deaths

Children and teens grieving the loss of a male parent /sibling / caregiver / peer

Adult sibling loss

Death of a previous therapist
